Zarah, handled in the Bred By Exhibitor Class by Ryan, took a major and then Best of Opposite Sex at the Flagstaff Kennel Club show in June 2007.

Zarah's call name came about when Phyl saw a documentary on the World War II era singer, Zarah Leander. The singer had dark hair and was considered a great beauty whose looks could not be matched. To protect her reputation as as one of the world's most beautiful women, men dressed in drag to dance on stage when she performed so that no one would outshine her.
